Constantine “Gus” Prinios, son of Andrew Prinios, continued
in his father’s footsteps, making his own mark on Cleveland’s
tavern and eatery community with The M&M Lounge, The Spudums
Club and the popular Rockside Gardens in the ‘60’s and
‘70’s.
Gus
and wife Toni (Laurenti) purchased The Astorhurst Country Place
in 1973 and began operating it in 1981. Their family business had
grown to include a picnic grove, a seasonal Frozen Custard stand,
a restaurant and a catering hall.
Since
Gus’ death in 1991, Toni and children, Andrew and Connie,
have carried on the business. The Astorhurst Country Place is available
to host wedding receptions, anniversaries, showers, golf outing
dinners, clambakes and corporate events in the main building or
outside in the large picnic pavilion.
The
Astorhurst is also open as a full service restaurant on Thanksgiving,
Easter and Mother’s Day. Year after year patrons return to
enjoy the home-cooked meals and of course, the famous corn fritters.
The
Astorhurst Park Place is open May through September offering the
family’s famous frozen custard, shakes, malts, sundaes and
a full fast food menu.
We
would like to thank you for allowing us to serve you for over 80
years and hope you will continue to entrust us with your special
days!
